Individual Therapy in New York City

Creating Space in Your Life for Choice

Anxiety, depression, dissatisfaction, conflict, loneliness, or a sense of being stuck can become ways of living that feel almost automatic.

Sometimes we become disconnected from ourselves, from other people, or from parts of ourselves that once felt alive and spontaneous.

In therapy, we slow things down and look at what is happening.

What happens when you feel rejected?
What do you do when someone gets close?
What happens when you feel powerless?
What stories do you tell yourself about who you are?
What choices do you make when you are afraid?

As we become more aware of these patterns, we can create space between feeling and action.

And that space gives us something enormously important: Choice.

My Approach to Therapy

A More Conscious Way Forward

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. We don't simply look at where your difficulties came from. We also look at how you're living now and what you want to change.

Together, we can explore ways to bring greater awareness, creativity, compassion, and connection into your relationships and your everyday life.

Therapy can help you feel better. But it's also about learning to live the moments of your life with greater freedom, joy, connection, and choice.

“Scott counseled me during one of the most difficult and challenging periods of my life, when I made the abrupt decision to end my 20-year marriage. This was a deeply traumatic experience that left me feeling hopeless, depressed, unmotivated, and overwhelmed with despair. His unwavering support, professionalism, guidance, and encouragement transformed not only how I approached that difficult chapter of my life, but also how I manage and navigate all facets of my life today. He helped me recognize my own strength and gave me the tools and confidence to move forward.

I am forever grateful to Scott for the impact he had on my life and for the support he provided when I needed it most.”
